How I Got Started

Passion for being creative runs through me. Thinking of clever concepts, writing taglines or copy, and creating inspirational dances has always been a thing I love to do. The mix of art creation and my interest in business helped me pick advertising as my major.

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Advertising program has taught me so much, and has prepared me for the professional field. While being here I have been in American Advertising Federation in the agencies On The House, Hyperlink, RSVP, and AdLab. Currently, I am AAF's Chief Social Officer. I plan events to create a fun and social environment for the chapter. Our chapter has around 400 members, making us the biggest chapter in the nation! 

My coursework has consisted of Innovations of Advertising, Content Creation, Advertising and Brand Strategy, Advertising Research Methods, Adtech in the Digital World, Becoming an Influencer, and Agency Experience. These classes, along with other classes, have prepared me to work in the business and creative field. I would consider myself good with social media. I manage my TikTok with 16k followers and my Instagram with almost 7k followers. I make content about my dancing and college experience that I am proud of. This outlet keeps me involved in the media and trends.

From here, I hope to find an agency to work for as a copywriter to start off my career in the Advertising industry.

Eager to learn all the ins and outs of advertising, even after my degree is finished. I pick up new concepts easy and I love working in group settings.
